WHAT IS VISION?
Leaders are often spoken of as “visionary” or as “having a vision”. Some say that a leader’s most important work is constructing a vision .This is commonly understood to mean that a leader comes up with an image of an ideal future condition .The leader then explains this vision to followers and convinces followers to do what is necessary to attain the vision. This is not my view of vision;

THE FUTURE IS NOT A RESULT OF CHOICES AMONG ALTERNATIVE PATHS OFFERED BY THE PRESENT BUT A PLACE THAT IS CREATED .CREATED FIRST IN MIND AND WILL, CREATED NEXT IN ACTIVITY.THE PATHS TO IT ARE NOT FOUND BUT MADE, AND THE ACTIVITY OF MAKING THEM CHANGES BOTH THE MAKER AND THE DESTINATION.

Vision is to visualize, to see something that others don’t see and to create it. Vision is like seeing the invisible and making it visible.

Infact, the “vision” is less important than the act of “visioning” that is, the process of constructing a vision. The process of developing a vision doesn’t mean dreaming.

Predicting the future is notoriously difficult. But visioning is not about predicting the future we will someday see. It is a step in constructing the future we want. This requires thinking and thinking hard.

Faith in faith!!

I personally believe in the act of having faith in faith. Your faith should be in God, not in your self, not in your dream, not in your friends or your folks. I guess this is too big and too deep for some of us to comprehend “I am not saying you should not believe in your self” but you need to have faith in faith.

Most times the vision does not come to fruition when we want it to. Remember that your vision is like a seed and a seed must undergo the process of death before growth then, bearing fruits and this is not magical.

Your vision is for an appointed time. The wisest man confirms this in his book when he said “there is a time and purpose for everything under the sun”

It is for an appointed time and it does not have to look like it is going to come to fruition, just stay glued to it and keep pushing like a pregnant woman awaiting the cry of her new born baby. As long as you don’t stop pushing, you’ll have “the baby”.
One of the problems in this generation is that we look for people’s vote of confidence, assurance and believe in our vision but I tell you that people don’t have to believe in you and your vision, you don’t need their confirmation but you have a role to play “BELIEVE IN YOUR SELF CAUSE IF YOU DON’T, NOBODY WILL.”
